Pay on your car loan daily. It eliminates the compounded interest. Example: 258 monthly, divided by 4, and then by 5, means you have about $12.9 a day. You’ll get ahead on your loan real quick.

I've always taken the monthly payment times number of months. If my payment is $620/month for 5 years then 5×12×620 = $37,200 for a $20,000 car. You are paying $17,200 in interest. I paid $75,244 for a $68,000 car, $7,244. BUT I invested in the stock market and made $22,500 in capital gains. This is good debt.

I think you can refinance your loan to get a lower interest rate once you’ve had your current loan for so long and have been making consistent payments!
