Unless the US has the balls to do a full-scale ground invasion of Iran then the US has lost strategically and left the region worse than before the war started.

A completely tactical attack. No strategic thinking behind it. US is now feeling the effects of giving in to thoughtlessly (ego driven) following Israel - now they are stuck in a conflict that will go on for years. Iran 1 - US nil.

The other key takeaway is that Iranians are better at diplomacy, determination, endurance and negotiation.

It’s crazy that we haven’t learned the lesson of Vietnam that air power alone cannot win a war.

I think a further lesson is that drone warfare is arguably more effective than missile and air war. The fact that we and allies lost advanced radars to shaheds and especially small infiltration fpv drones shows how cheap expendable tech beats expensive high tech

Not sure if you answers this already. But hasn’t Iran showed the world what it would do if it had a nuke? It closed the straight which affected the world, what would stop them from using a nuke to win a war?

Weird that you didn’t mention the UAE or Arabian Gulf defences, which dealt with far more ballistic missiles than anyone else by far. The UAE in particular, which deployed a 6-7 layer defence system and had 90+ % interception rate

Iran doesn’t need a nuclear weapon. It has the Hormuz. And if it wants, the Red Sea. What was Trump thinking?

This will go down as the largest strategic blunder in US history and that was obvious 2-3 months ago. Expensive, hard-to-replace interceptors against cheap, mass-produced drones and missiles is not a winning strategy under any circumstances
