Maybe Australia's problems aren't just a government problem. When the same issues are happening across much of the world, it's worth asking whether something bigger is driving them. It's hard to believe that among thousands of politicians, world leaders, journalists, academics, and public figures, nobody would speak out if the answers were as simple as replacing one government with another. Maybe the challenges we're facing are more complex and interconnected than most of us realise. No matter what side of politics you're on, it's hard to believe that every leader, in every country, is independently making the exact same mistakes. Perhaps the focus should be on the larger systems and influences shaping governments rather than just the politicians themselves.
