saps CANNOT issue J534 for traffic offences anymore, been like that for a couple of years now.

you know saps don't have summons books with them like metro police....for them to give you a fine they have to escort you to the police station and give you a summons...to appear in court...this offence is not a schedule offense and is a RTA so a fine is good...💯but if the suspect broke any other law he can be detained other than RTA...and normally metro will only give a fine if the police is still there on the scene with the suspect...otherwise they won't give a summons...sometimes they won't give summons because its not heir arrest..💯
