They fled shortly after Castro came to power because they saw their friends, coworkers, and neighbors shot on the streets for speaking out against the regime. No one should live in fear that they would be killed or even imprisoned for a disagreement

yk there’s white cubans born and raised in the island and the family is still there for example me, im not saying ANY OF MY OPINIONS but my family who lived thru the cuban revolution and still are in cuba ALL said they didnt like it.
