Friends carry information. We don’t know what we don’t know🤷🏽♂️. I’m in a space where as friends we elevate each other and we appreciate such conversations

It’s not a discomfort honestly. I’m honestly worried about you going into a rabbit hole. I know some people chose their careers because of money, and some they are actually passionate. I think it’s just odd to chase your friends salaries through switching careers(How many times are you gonna shift yourself so you can be on top of the leaderboard?). I’m from engineering and I switched to Tech, and my motivation was passion. I just find it sad that a person would want to change careers endlessly because the next big salary to change in a friend group is on Role A. And reality is companies even pay differently for the same role. Now you will be chasing their company too? I get your points, and I’d share my salary any day with my friends who are considering role change... Just I know salary dynamics change over the years and my worry is you will lose yourself trying to hit the next big salary in a friend group. Losing yourself and your passions just because you want to do what I do and earn what I earn I find that reason a bit odd to chase. Otherwise each to their own. I want my friends to win, and I hope they win in spaces they are happy in, life is too short to do something you hate. That’s my chat. Otherwise I have no discomfort in anyone who wants to switch to my role. I’ll gladly share how my industry is setup. But for you to decide after seeing my salary then that’s where I’m against your motives.
