@jpduql6172: A Long Island woman pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder Tuesday over allegations she fatally stabbed a man she knew as he slept at his home. Kristin Sculley was arraigned in Hempstead, a day after the deadly stabbing at the victim’s home in Massapequa early Monday morning. Devastated family and friends of Robert Carragher, 28, filled the courtroom. According to Nassau Det. Lt. George Darienzo, Carragher and Sculley had known each other for several years and were friends. He said investigators believe she “became angry and stabbed him in the neck while he was sleeping.” An injured Carragher managed to reach his parents upstairs and ultimately died in his father’s arms, Darienzo said. “No family should ever have to bear witness to their son being killed in that manner,” he said at a press conference. A friend of Carragher’s, who gave his name as Louis, said that the two had known each other since they were 14 or 15 years old and that “he had no bad bones in his body.” “She was welcomed in by his family, and she waited for my friend to fall asleep and she killed him,” he said.
