Men are exploiters, always have been. The entire concept of a marriage is men legally exploiting a woman. If women in earlier times had money, men would have been called gold diggers too. But it’s only recently that women started making (decent) money, so naturally, they try to exploit that too. But it’s important to point out that men are driven by the exploitation of others, women in particularly. Being a gold digger is only a part of it.

Very similar to my situation but my ex was looking for his first car after he passed and his budget was 5k he had saved — I had 12k saved for when I move out or get a car. So he was looking at a few fords and Kia’s then a bmw pulled in and my ex went over to look at it and seen the price tag was 16k and he looked at me and said “if we put our money together I could afford that” I just looked at him like 🤨 and when I said no he took a tantrum and said he doesn’t want any cars then and we left.. thank god he’s an ex

My ex-boyfriend learned that my parents own 8 different houses and acres of farmland within the first couple of days of us talking, and then he started talking about marriage just a few days later. But I always brought up prenup agreements, saying that whatever my parents leave for me will remain mine only until I decide to pass it on to my future children. He said he doesn’t like “prenup agreements” 😏

I had bought my dream car and my ex was a carless loser that would use his moms car from time to time so when I bought mine he told me that I was now gonna be his taxi and wouldn’t contribute at all to gas and he would always expect me to pay for meals/dates etc… yeah I broke up with him quick

My parents are divorced thankfully but my father was the poster boy for being a gold digger. He definitely earned more money than my mom at any given point in their marriage, but he hoarded and hid it and used it for himself, wouldn't deposit money into the bank from his checks so she never knew how much they actually had, she worked 3 jobs at one point because asking him for financial help was asking for a fight. She financed him for years, cosigned for almost every vehicle of his because he always had bad credit, she carried the household financially and every other way for years by herself, while he lied and cheated and abused us all. And then he had the audacity to get on FB and make a post calling HER a gold digger, because she asked for alimony in the divorce. That was the first time I talked to him in over two years atp, when I was made aware of that post, I unblocked him and tore him a very public new one online, spilled a bunch of "family secrets" that day and made sure everyone knew exactly the POS he was. He told me to stop in the comments at one point and I told him no, you get what you give and if youre embarrassed by people knowing what you did, maybe you shouldn't have done it 💅✨✨
