@attyjdgraham: Understanding the burden of proof explains why the jury acquitted Mr. Chow, and why Cyrus’s family can still prevail. #rickchow #trial #truecrimetok
Chasing a kid 130 yard with a gun while not knowing the kid had a gun is not only malice but it gives up Chows right to self defense by law

The prosecutors over charged Chow and the jury delivered the correct verdict based on the charges presented.
They should have charged him w manslaughter.

Not an attorney but former employee of a DAs office … this is what I think everyone is missing. It’s not an innocent v guilty. It’s can the prosecution prove guilt. I didn’t follow this case, but seems like they didn’t. It’s not a vote of innocence it’s a vote of not guilty based on the facts. Glad you made a video explaining this!

A civil suit shouldn’t be allowed. Not in this case or any other once they are found not guilty.

your viewpoint of the law is spot on. however malice intent is, he unalived someone when he had other options. premeditation is taking a gun and chasing after someone and shooting. self defense, is not justifiable when you or others chase after someone, then you see a weapon and shoot the person in the back. this is why you don't chase after people. the story of the kid pointing the gun at the chows is very far fetch when he didn't point the gun at the son when he was confronted face to face in the store, nor did he point the gun at the chows when they initially started chasing after him, nor did he use the gun to save his own life. this story just doesn't add up. seeing a weapon on someone that you chased after gives you the right to claim self defense after shooting them in the back.

The jury, was very diverse and included black jurors. I believe they did their job! The issue was the prosecution didn’t give them the tools to decide correctly. He should have been charged with manslaughter

So I think Chow shot him in cold blood? Kinda, yea. Do I think it’s reasonable that the armed teen could have pointed his gun at the son? Yea.

I get it but it sucks . Why didn’t the state choose to go for manslaughter?

So I guess my question is, I heard that the only reason they charged with murder , was because of an agreement. Why did the prosecution ever agreed to that? Why not charge with like second-degree murder or you know some other like higher degree of manslaughter or something like that?

Thaddeus Ginger Snaps :
Why not pursue a lesser charge of manslaughter? Something reckless? Anything that it would fall under? Doesn’t the state have the right to bring up lesser charges? Why only go for murder 1?

this would mean chow could counter sue the family because the teen wouldn't have a gun if the parents raised him properly. they raised their son in a negligible manner that caused him to be a threat to society.

So you can unalive someone in the back running away after chasing them a football field from your business if you think they stole something. As long as you don't verbally say I'm going to harm the person. And you as a business owner or even a home owner, chasing someone with a 🔥arm who is no longer on your property instead of calling the police should not be considered a threat by the person you're chasing.

The prosecutors knew what they were doing. Think about how they throw every charge under the sun at blk men. But only charged this guy with M?
