@_rab_e_wafa_: Eid al-Ghadeer is one of the most significant and cherished occasions for Shia Muslims, commemorating a defining moment in Islamic history. The event dates back to 632 CE, when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was returning from his Farewell Pilgrimage. At a place known as Ghadir Khumm, he gathered a vast assembly of Muslims and, before them all, raised the hand of his cousin and son-in-law, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(as), proclaiming: “For whoever I am his Mola, Ali is his Mola.” For Shia Muslims, this declaration was far more than an expression of affection or esteem; it was a clear and public appointment of Imam Ali(as) as the Prophet’s rightful successor and the leader of the Muslim Ummah after him. While Sunni Muslims also acknowledge the historical event of Ghadir Khumm, many interpret the term “Mola” as signifying friendship, support, or closeness rather than authority and leadership. Each year, on the 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah, Shia communities around the world celebrate Eid al-Ghadeer with gratitude, devotion, and joy. The day is marked by prayers, gatherings, charitable acts, feasts, poetry, and remembrance of the virtues of Imam Ali(as). Beyond celebration, it serves as a powerful reminder of the values he embodied—justice, courage, wisdom, humility, and unwavering faith. It is a day on which believers renew their commitment to these ideals and reaffirm their spiritual bond with the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib(as)🤍. #eid #ghadeer #foryou ##foryoupage #explore
