@thenutritionprof: Lisbon Airport passport control with timestamps for US travelers heading to Non Schengen areas! The lines look long but move fairly quickly. Things can change in an instant, though, get there early. #LisbonAirport #EES #EuropeTravel #USTravel #TravelTips
we flew out of Lisbon on June 3rd (day of transport strikes). Our flight was at 2.20pm, we arrived 3.5hours earlier when check in opened and flew through everything. Security, fast moving, headed straight to passport control, no lines. There was plenty of food available after passport control. Its totally luck of the draw.

Can someone help me. I’m confused why the line is so long? Is this people who haven’t yet registered for EES?

My wife is in the process of flying back from Barcelona. The return through immigration using facial recognition took 5m. She had to do EES registration when she arrived that took 2 hours. Part of the time was just getting her fingerprints as she has really bad prints, always is a hassle took over an hour to get a good reading when she got Global Entry

Flew into Porto 2 days ago and it was not good. 2 hours in the passport control line because the kiosks weren’t working. Half of the line had to keep running back to the kiosks to rescan after getting ALL THE WAY up to the front of customs line. And this happened multiple times. I watched the same lady run back to scan at least 3 times. NOTE: if you have kids, you shouldn’t wait in line for the kiosks. It won’t accept their passports anyways. We waited the 2 hours, only to be shuffled into the priority line when we got near the front. It’s pretty messy.

Honestly, I’ve been traveling for 45 years. It’s hot, there are lines, it’s inconvenient. If you’re not prepared for that you’re not prepared to travel

flew out of Lisbon on June 14th. 11:35am flight and arrived 4 hours in advanced. It was busy but I never waited in a stopped line everything moved very quickly. I had about 1 hour of downtime before the flight boarded. Just get there early and you’ll be fine, folks!
