i cannot go a day working at my “chinese” restaurant without someone asking “so does this come with rice” and i say “it’s not automatically rice it comes with whatever side you’d like, it’s your choice” to then hear immediately after i just said that “it doesn’t just come with rice” or “…so what does it come with?” WHATEVER. We have to deal with this in other industries, too. I had this exact conversation with a woman in the photo dept at Walgreens, except it was over photo books. And I could not get her to understand she customizes every page, that she can't have just "a normal book without any of that stuff". The stuff in question being placing the images on the page and resizing them how she wants.
