@simonsinek: 🗣️ Communication isn’t a race. When we rush, we lose clarity and connection. Our message makes the most impact when we take our time. Learn more with The Art of Presenting at the link in bio!
I hate slow! Pause is like being lost and losing a second or two. Send the message like 30secs on point! Precise concise and to the point!

The best communicators aren’t in a hurry. Speaking slower shows confidence and silence is often where words gain their weight.

One thing I've learned after years of teaching communication is that people often confuse fluency with speed. They rush because they think silence makes them look insecure. Ironically, a thoughtful pause usually has the opposite effect. Great communicators don't fill every second with words—they create space for ideas to breathe, for meaning to land, and for the audience to think. Sometimes the most powerful part of a message is the moment before the next sentence.

Rushing a delivery is a fast track to losing an audience entirely. The impact of a message relies heavily on giving the core concepts the proper room to settle 💯

I naturally speak quite fast because ideas come to mind quickly, and I'm always thinking ahead to the next point. Sometimes I worry that if I slow down too much, I might lose the flow of thought. Any advise?

The pause feels uncomfortable. I am talking from the perspective of someone who stutters

Thanks. It sounds a bit difficult, especially when you’re used to putting so much passion into communicating your ideas. Thanks for sharing that.

It’s my biggest weakness in presenting. I usually have exactly what senior leaders need to know/understand and only a short time with them. I tend to speak quickly so it’s a challenge for me to slow down and let them digest what I am saying.
