@radical.ras: Keith Haring was an American artist and social justice activist. He used his art to campaign for a variety of social causes, including gay rights. His art brought awareness to the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, of which, he was a victim. His bold style and colour palette is still popular today. Researching Keith’s story affected me deeply. He was so talented and accomplished so much before dying far before his time. He kept his art accessible, selling shirts and giving out buttons for free, even after he became famous and his paintings started selling for thousands. His legacy lives on through his foundation, which provides support for the arts, as well as education, prevention, and care related to AIDS.
