there are three unsolved mysteries
. The Voynich Manuscript
Often referred to as "the world’s most mysterious manuscript," this document is a 240-page book written in an entirely unknown script and language. Carbon-dated to the early 15th century, the manuscript is filled with strange illustrations of unrecognizable plants, astrological diagrams, and cryptic humanoid figures.
The Mystery: Despite the efforts of world-class cryptographers, linguists, and AI-driven decryption attempts, not a single word has been decoded. It remains unclear whether the text is an extremely sophisticated cipher, a lost language, or an elaborate, centuries-old hoax designed to deceive collectors.
(2) The Disappearance of the Flannan Isles
Lighthouse Keepers
In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers—Thomas Marshall, James Ducat, and Donald MacArthur—vanished from the Flannan Isles lighthouse in Scotland. When a relief ship arrived, they found the island deserted.
The Mystery: The scene left behind suggested a sudden departure. The entry logs noted a severe storm, yet the lighthouse log entries ceased days before the storm actually occurred. The kitchen table was set for a meal, a chair was overturned, and the heavy iron gate was securely locked. No bodies were ever recovered, and while various theories—ranging from rogue waves to madness or even extraterrestrial abduction—have been proposed, no explanation accounts for the strange state of the lighthouse.
