devops is basically the same. usually i respond casually with the application devs: "well shit was working before you started screwing around. so where do we think the issue is? lets just be thankful this is the dev server you've managed to screw up, and not production. i could right a patch in C for you to fix this wild mistake you've managed to create in python. however i think you'll learn more if you code it properly rather than me putting a bandaid on it"

We had a problem the application team raised the ports in the servers to double but did not inform the F5 team we take 5 hours fix it because everything is working fine the application, network and security but the application half of the session dropped until we find it
