easiest hack - DO COMMUNITY THINGS! join a choir, take a community center art class, join a community sports team, join a book club, audition for a local play. you have to be in the community to find community!!!

it just sucks bc this is how to get surface level friendships which isn’t what everyone wants. it’s easy to make friends you can hang out with through a shared hobby it’s not easy to find someone that genuinely cares about you and wants to grow with you through life. i think being neurodivergent makes it hard because surface level is not rewarding. but this is great advice for people who just want others to hang out with.

If you’re struggling to hold a conversation with someone do these 2 things 1) get them to talk about themselves by asking them questions about themselves, people love talking about themselves, 2) if you’re struggling to come up with a response literally just repeat the phrase they said back to them Solid Snake style, it literally works every, fuckin, time
