@kigezi.fox.media.ug: #State House Anti-Corruption Unit Probes Nursery Bed Payment Claims in Kanungu District; KANUNGU — Lawrence Byarhanga earlier today appeared before the State House Anti-Corruption Unit’s investigative meeting and clarified he was defrauded of 60% of his nursery bed payment. Byaruhanga ,A nursery bed operator told the panel that Centenary Bank Kihihi colluded with nursery bed operators’ leadership to divert funds meant for beneficiaries. He pinned the bank and the operators’ leadership as central to the alleged scheme. The testimony comes after President Yoweri Museveni ordered an investigation into complaints surrounding nursery bed payments. The State House Anti-Corruption Unit headed by cnsl Mayombo says inquiries are ongoing. Centenary Bank Kihihi and the nursery bed operators’ leadership had not issued official responses at the time of publication.
