@yass.unitedstates: A Texas family is battling to keep 2-year-old Annelise Camp on life support after she was pulled from a hotel pool and suffered severe brain injuries. They obtained a court order blocking a brain-death declaration as they pursue further treatment. Her family says she has shown signs of improvement and is holding onto hope, while doctors continue brain-death testing ahead of a court hearing. #texas #girl #braindead #family #hospital

They don’t just pronounce people brain dead all Willy nilly. Happened to my friends and it was DAYS of testing and repeating tests before they declared

Even if she miraculously lived. This child is gone. She would not have any abilities. Very sad.

I don’t think people understand that there is a difference between brain death and a coma. She’s not in a coma with the potential to possibly wake up. She’s brain dead there’s no more activity so regardless of all the tests they do. It’s a loss cause unfortunately and I hate that for them.

The hospital just wants to test. If the test is negative then of course they’ll continue treatment and get ethics involved. But if they’re positive for brain death, then why put her body through any more if she’s clinically dead. Let them do the tests.

I get it. It would be the hardest thing I would ever have to do, and I pray I don’t ever have to make that decision.

this happened to my grandma with valley fever they told us we need to prepare for the worst, arrange a funeral, even if she did wake shed never walk or breath on her own again, we prayed hard and spoke life over her and she made a turn around and now walks on her own with no medical devices helping her breath. she said when she was in medical coma she was knocking on heavens doors for what felt like forever but no one let her in. speak life over this baby pray for her and thank God in the comments yall.

the system doesn't care about giving the kid peace they care about funding it which is beyond heartbreaking the system and our tax payers can fund people on DR but can't fund giving her a chance miracle's happen everyday she could be another

Nicu nurse here .. it’s soo hard for families to comprehend that while their child/loved one physically looks alive (breathing, reflexes) they are not 🥺 this can be so confusing and we have to give them grace. It’s a decision and reality that is impossible to make and come to terms with. Praying for this family

You can talk bad about the parents but you’re not in their shoes they feel not one grief but guilt and like it was something they could have prevented. All their memories they have for a short couple of years and never expected for all of it to be gone in a blink of an eye. And want to hold onto hope that she might not be gone and don’t wanna make the wrong decision and always think what if we would have tried harder or longer she could still be here.

I’m so sorry for this family, but you don’t get to just say don’t declare brain death. No brain activity is brain death, and it’s time to talk about organ donation. 😢

My heart goes out to this family. I fear for her she will have no QOL if they have her alive on life support though. She deserves relief and heaven

I’m sorry but I have a two year old people say things happen so fast exactly if you have a two year old and they’re not physically attached to you in a pool or within an arms length with your eyes on them- this is likely to happen.
