I think it's really ignorant to suggest Bruno's season is less of an achievement because he played once a week. For his career at United, he's averaged 55 games a season and half of them have been Europa League Thursday/Sunday rotations, with deeps runs as well. His numbers show that he's been producing these chances every year, the difference this year (and why he broke the record now) is that Casemiro chipped in with more goals this year and the forward line leveled up. Man went from Antony, Garnacho, Hojlund to Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko. So it's incorrect to suggest that the games played has influenced his quality in any way because he's been doing it for 6 years, only now they actually finished his chances.

13 set piece assists is harder than open play, open play assists 90% of the time the goal scorer was wide open, un marked. on a set piece everyone of your targets is being tightly man marked and the opposition are expecting a cross and he still managed to find a teammate. his ability to whip a ball in is unbelievable. so unbelievable he broke a record with it

Mate all of his assists got us to where we are without them we 8th. And 80% of his assists are good. Idk why people lie just look back and see the assists and over half of them right on the money

So…. You’re not allowed set piece assist, or assist from crosses. The playing field changes constantly when it’s a United player. The amount of assists KDB got from crosses was ridiculous. No mention of that though

The open play vs set piece bit is so disingenuous. They count the same. If set pieces were as easy as people talk about them, then more than three players would have double digit assists.
