No It doesn’t say Cain and Able are the first. It just says Adam knew his wife and she gave birth. Could have easily had other children prior.

You are forgetting that Gods first commandment was for Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and that was before the fall. If they didn’t start having babies that would have been the original sin. The text just tells us the importance of Cain and Abel because it was the first murder.

lol man wants to tell us what is LITERALLY in the account. Big man, the Genesis account is charting a path highlighting PIVOTAL characters. Not every child or event of Adam and Eve. NOWHERE does it say Cain and Abel were firstborn. "Now" doesn't mean it's the first time Adam went into his wife. Shall we also say in Gen 3:5 that it means Adam had NO OTHER CHILDREN before Seth? Finally, I don't know if you're married, even then, we know, what happens on the night of a newly wed? You're convinced Adam sat tail tucked with his beautiful wife whom God had PRESENTED to him after his longings for ~130 years before he went into her? He a man? given a naked woman? in paradise? brother. The Bible doesn't mention all the times David washed and oiled his hair, so surely he must've never done so ever again thereafter except when accounted (?) Pivotal characters and stories, charting a through line towards a meaningful end; Cain and Abel are mentioned not as firstborns but the first murderer whom sin stalked and his brother whom did diligently by God. and Seth as the one who begat Enos by whom was when man began to call upon the name of the Lord and on to Enoch(!) and to Methuselah(!) and arrive at... Noah(!). You also refute that Eve knew the pains of childbirth at all before it was doubled, what would then be her reference? what shall she fear then? how shall she know God did not lie about the doubled pains? did she know she could make babies at all then? what was the first blessing again? and when were they blessed? after male and female made he them. I mean, granting Taco's interpretation of what exactly the narrative of Genesis speaks on, his claim that the other people were Adam and Eve's children does naturally follow as an implication of the text, though not of children born prior, but after, Cain and Abel, so I don't think that's the best objection.

Genesis 1 is the creation of all. including mankind. Genesis 2 is a recap of 1 then goes into a SPICIFIC creation of Adam, then follows his line because he was created specifically for communion with God. no time frame is given between 1, and 2. which easily allows for the larg number of people by Noah's time.

Umm...The Scripture clearly says Eve is the mother of life. It's hos cousins, nephews, ect. Everyone came from eve and Aman, the Son of God.

Genesis 5:4 states that after the birth of his son Seth, Adam lived for another 800 years and had other sons and daughters. You added the then. It’s a declarative sentence he lived 800 and had other sons and daughters. Not after.

One thing, Adam was created on the beginning of the sixth day and Peter says one day is like 1000 years, so after created he spent at least one day because he was there for the sabbath. If we do a theological examination we may see that he may had been at least 1000 years old before he was removed from the garden. Now it’s not dogmatic but by scripture it is in Gods days , not human days. Now I don’t agree that he had children nor in the garden nor before Cain Abel or Seth, but yes after

Out of all of Adam and Eve kids. Way is only 3 of them was name in the Bible. Just because they wasn’t name don’t mean Adam and Eve didn’t have more kids.

Adam was the first person made in god image. Not the first person. The first person was made in ch 1 during creation week, Adam was made in ch 2 specifically in a garden, which separated him from everyone else.
