💧 Two Rows of Holes. One Pipe. Smarter Screening. Most people add one row of nozzles to a vibrating screen spray bar. But the smart operators do something different. 👉 One pipe. Two rows of holes. Different angles. Here's how it works — and why it beats a single spray row every time. Row one – facing upstream (against the material flow) This spray hits the oncoming material. It fluidizes the bed, breaks up clay balls, and knocks fines loose from coarse particles. Think of it as a "fluidizing breaker." Row two – angled downstream (with the material flow) This spray pushes material forward, rinses off surface slime, and helps dirty water pass through the screen. Think of it as a "conveying rinse." Why this is smarter Two directions do more with less water. Upstream spray helps clear near-size particles stuck in screen openings. Downstream flow prevents dry streaks and keeps material moving. This setup handles sticky construction waste and wet clay much better than a single row. But get it wrong, and you'll have problems If downstream pressure is too high, fines get pushed into oversize — your product runs coarse. If upstream pressure is too high, you get splash-back flooding the feed hopper. If hole angles are wrong, spray misses the deck or creates dry zones. Start with low pressure at 1.5 to 2 bar. Watch the material bed. Increase slowly until the bed just begins to fluidize — no more. Always check: is water washing through the screen, or just running off the end? Have you tried a two-directional spray bar on your vibrating screen? Or are you still running single-row nozzles?
