make sure your intel defaults arent set on extreme or unlimited. because its unnecessary thermal increase for incredibly small preformance gains in most gaming scenarios.

My new pc from December last year kept crashing regularly and got super hot when I played games. After disabling expo I haven’t had a crash since and it doesn’t get as hot. I don’t know the logic of it just been trying different things and this has worked so far

terrible advice for gen pop... alot of memory controllers can't run xmp on DDR5, especially if dual rank sticks 32gb or 48gb sticks I've seen soo many issues with xmp on ddr5

Definitely agree on updating the BIOS, and oddly enough, if you have a newer game that uses Secure Boot, try updating the BIOS if it's not working. I ran into this with a guys PC that wasn't working with secure boot on so I helped him update his BIOS, enabled secure boot again, and then the game started working. Twas an odd fix to me but I decided to remember it just in case I ran into that issue again.

These are valid, but PBO is a per case basis and has the boost side and the voltage side, not best idea for people who need tips to update bios to be enabling it; also Rebar while good in most games is actually harmful for some. Good clip tho

if you made any changes to your bios settings . before updating write all your personal settings down first. then set everything to default before updating.

TPM and Hypervisor settings. Also M.2/PCIe settings if you happen to have a board that disables or reduces a PCIe slot to enable a particular M.2 slot.

I’ve tried enabling rebar on my build and once I turn on the option that should pop up the rebar option in my bios doesn’t make the rebar optio show up
