not really. the only reason it has that low numbers is yo meet fuel economy in the US. same car in other countries csll for thicker oil

The engine is running at hundreds of degrees operating temperature. I don’t care if it’s 10 to 15° hotter outside lol. It doesn’t matter.

They are not designed around 5W 20 lol lies.. what about the coyote engine? Come factory with 0W 20, the owners manual says use 5W 40 if you had a supercharger. What changed inside of the engine? Nothing.

That’s not true. Ford speced the SAME motor for 5w-20 as they did for 5W-30 just a year later. No difference except fuel efficiency.

Use 0-20 when you vehicle has less than 80 miles. After that used 5-30 smoother and quieter engine

Do some digging. Toyota vehicles sold in South America recommend 5/W/30. Same engine. Same vehicle.

I bought a new car and it called for 020 any it made a little rattle on startup just as soon as the warranty went off I changed the 5W-30 and the startup rattle went away

Peeps use 5w-30 or greater for your vehicles and do 3k mile intervals. Save your engines!!!! Stealerships want your engines to blow so you have to buy a new one

Don't listen to this dude. Has nothing to do with the tolerances for 20w its all about emissions. Same vehicles over seas run 30 or 40w. Your giving up longevity for fuel consumption running 20w instead of 30

0w30 ,5w30 and 10w30 are NOT the sane at operating temperature. The first number is the actual weight of the base stock that the oil is made from and then different additives are added to achieve the second number.
