That's not when it happened. In this scene where Faye see Kratos for a moment, it happens when Thor kills kratos in the beginning of GoWR and then brings him right back to life. At least that's what would make the most sense.

for all people saying "umm ackually...blah blah" faye is in a place called the everywhen. timing is irrelevent when the when is every. also time is already fucky. in alfheim kratos spends a minute in the light and its hours possily days for atreus.

Well, Kratos was close to final death only on two occasions - this time when he entered the Light of Alfheim and when he fought with Thor, who hit him with a hammer, but then revived him with lightning
