I truly believe that a lot of this has to do with addiction to the phones to video games. I have a 16 year-old son and he doesn’t leave his room cause he plays video games all the time and I’m doing everything I can to get him help and it’s just not easy.

The flaw in this argument is assuming college is the only path to wealth. For a lot of average students, a four-year degree with debt is producing a weaker ROI than the trades. Literally all women want men to get their mental health in order. But when you frame learning how to connect with people so you’re less lonely as “masculinity”…. That’s just the standard human condition. It’s actually this idea you guys had about masculinity that is pusihi g you guys away from one another. Like not wanting to hug your friends because you’re too masculine? Not calling your friends so you don’t seem gay? Not doing a lot of things because anyone who tries to “be masculine” really just means they’re trying to be anything but be like a woman, or anything besides being gay. That’s what “masculinity” has become. That’s why we call it toxic. And that’s why it causes you to be lonely.
