@discover_jos: I’m quite fascinated by the person of JD Gomwalk and His legacy. As A Police Commissioner, he become the first Governor of the Benue Plateau state during the Military Regime. The whole of Present day Plateau, Benue and Nassarawa States and well as Parts of Taraba and Kogi were all part of this massive state that was under his leadership. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like a lot of intentionality is being put in place to educate younger generations about him and the big vision He had for the Plateau. How much do you know about JD Gomwalk and the Part He played in shaping the History of the Plateau? I’d love to hear your thoughts #jos #plateau #History #JDGomwalk #DiscoverJos

another reason to ask why is history taken away from our school and why do they intentionally keep denying us the opportunities to know our histories

We underestimate how much we need our people to know our history. We have killed history, now we are killing maths. Continue to do the Lords work

Plateau was second only to the Western Region in 1974. Western Region similarly ensured Igbo properties were preserved during the civil war. Twinsies.
