And you have to have surgery every 5-10 years afterwards to continue to remove the endo tissue. There’s no end to the surgeries once you start.

They just changed the name from PCOS to PMOS so I don’t think they know what they’re even talking about 🥲

Sorry you are experiencing this. PCOS is diagnosed with a blood draw/hormone panel check. And the only “treatment” I’ve ever been offered is birth control pill to manage the symptoms. I’ve had the best results managing by eliminating sugars, dairy and gluten which helps to regulate blood sugar/insulin (root issue of PCOS). Maybe ask for the hormone panel blood test as step 1?

You can ask for a transvag ultrasound, sometimes endo is seen on these. It sucks because if men got endo this would be way more treatable and researched 🫠

It’s ridiculous that you would have to go through a surgery AGAIN to get the diagnosis! Women’s healthcare is absolutely $H!T!

So I know that with the surgery to diagnose endo they can also treat you during the surgery if they find anything and they’ll remove the scar tissue that’s present. Also a lot of insurance providers require you to be formally diagnosed before you can get coverage for the treatments that remove it or fertility treatments. Birth control has been so helpful for me and my PCOS and endo, my periods are so much better now and I was able to freeze my eggs!

As a man I in no way want to act like I know what you're going through because I don't but I've had a medical issue for a long time now that the doctor still don't have an answers for they keep telling me they could do exploratory surgery to see if they could find something that way, but there's no guarantees so I know how frustrating that is. Hopefully you get your answer soon.

Check out @newyorkendometriosis on Instagram. He’s amazing, has a ton of information, and was able to diagnose without surgery.

I’m going through the same thing! Took me 10 years to get diagnosed. There is supposedly a new test coming out or out that tests your blood to confirm. I’m having that surgery in August and they actually found it in an MRI

Endo is hard to diagnose which is crazy, I’ve also been told I have Pcos and don’t. The most frustrating thing is never getting answers. After years and years im finally fighting for myself for answers
