I find "Mom of War" kinda endearing, because I remember the other norse games being called "Dad of War" and "Dad of Boy" and I like the shared naming. Also, while she's not traveling with her son, it's a reminder that this isn't just Kratos' wife, it's Loki's mother. All the times Loki talked about "Mother would do this/taught me that" this is her. Laufey The Just, who walked every path her boys did and painted golden hints.

1) this game looks so good 2) Jack Quaid (HUGHIE!) is in it as your companion, similar to Mimir for Kratos 3) Deborah Ann Woll is an amazing actress 4) she is goddamn beautiful so it’ll be an honour to stare at the screen for hours as she demolishes enemies like a badass!

"acktchewally, she isn't the God of War so it shouldn't be called God of War!" Kraros hasn't been God of War since God of War 2 in 2007. You all know DAMN WELL "God of War" is the franchise and there is NO REASON to not call this a God if War game

Someone in another comment section said that they can just imagine a skin mod for the game where she looks like the singer Laufey since their names are the same, and the sword gets replaced with a microphone stand.

I don't even play this franchise, but I kinda like how this and many others are having other characters step up, it honestly helps with the power balance situation. I mean if you follow the same character across multiple games it gets a bit repetitive that they suddenly aren't as powerful as how they ended the last game because x y or z happened. Introducing a different character allows a very logical transition to oh they aren't as powerful (or they have to start over for some reason) let's follow their journey now.

I havent watched the trailer yet, but my only gripe. Faye was never a god of war. Couldn't care less that shes a woman, I am looking forward to playing her story, but the fact shes not a God of War is the only part that bothers me, unless she inherits some status later in which case I take it back.
