@filmthusiastofficial: Curry Barker’s ‘OBSESSION’ has become become one of the most profitable films of all time. As of this week, the original film has now grossed more tham $150M at the worldwide box office, earning more than 200 times (!) its production budget of just $750K. It has also earned more and more each weekend since its release, making it the first film since to increase in its third week since Steven Spielberg’s ‘E.T.’ way back in 1982. Directed by 26-year-old director Curry Barker, and led by breakout performances in Inde Navarrette and Michael Johnston, the film is a reminder that audiences will still show up in theaters for something new and original.
