when my addict mother finally came to see her granddaughter i felt SO protective & i couldnt stop crying & trembling. my hairs on my arms were sticking up and i was on fight or flight. i kept telling my bd to get her out i didnt even want her to hold her.

My MIL said “You’re gonna be spoiled if we keep picking you up when you cry, you have to learn to self soothe.” He was 3 days old. Then today, “I can’t believe you’re still wearing him like that.” As I was baby wearing-he’s 7 weeks old…now you’re really starting to irritate me😁

I’ve never felt more like an animal in my life than the time I went to the zoo postpartum and my whole body rejected it. I was so keenly aware of being surrounded by these apex predators with my baby in tow that it gave me chills. I had to leave I was so uncomfortable
