In my humble opinion, Warren was just awful in The Roman Spring Of Mrs. Stone. Vivien gave her usual brilliant performance. The studio should have hired a dialect coach for Warren. Apparently that never happened because Warren's Italian accent was so bad, the movie is nearly unwatchable. The original plan was to cast Alain Delon in the role of Paolo. Even though Alain was French, he spoke fluent Italian. He would have been a far better choice.
