Born and raised here. I hope people realize that most people who you are running into in this state are most likely transplants. Especially in the outdoors now days. Over the last decade to two decades Washington state has changed dramatically!!! So people need to be careful when the make comments about PNW people they may have come from California, East coast or even Midwest. I run into sooo many people out on trail who aren't even from here and they are not on vacation. Just food for thought

I think people are allowed to have different experiences and opinions, but it’s hard not to take it personally when an entire region gets painted with a broad brush instead of sharing specific situations or interactions. There are a lot of genuinely kind, welcoming people here in the PNW who go out of their way to help others — especially in the smaller communities like where I’m from. Just like politics or anything else, it’s okay to disagree without getting so worked up over it. Different perspectives can exist without turning it into a fight. Unfortunately, your response is the pot calling the kettle black.

I’ve lived in WA my whole life, went to Tennessee when I was 35 and you’re right, way different. I’m a super friendly person and I felt right at home there.

I saw your last video and it is interesting to see the defensiveness. I think we're in the same county in WA. I am not from here and have lived in Minnesota and Washington. It took me years after leaving Minnesota to wrap my head around the idea that people there generally believed they were doing things they felt were nice, but those things were so different than what I was used to (as an Alaskan) that it felt cold. I don't know if that speaks to your experience of moving here. As someone who has thought a lot about this I do think I understand where you are coming from.

Oh girl it’s called the Seattle freeze for a reason. I’m from eastern Washington and I’m not saying people are soooo much nicer here but compared to when I lived in Seattle… eastern Washington is much friendlier haha

And this what I’ve learned about having opinions and making social media videos. I think the problem was that you labeled people as a whole and it put you against everyone else. And if people are from here watching your video they may feel attacked.
