I don’t think she was as close to Ciara as this season appears. It was typically Paige and Ciara. Without Paige it left just Amanda and Ciara. I also think Amanda was equally close to West (and Jesse!), which organically turned into more. Yall have really run wild on this made up narrative regarding a produced tv show

I honestly think that they won’t explain what he feels bc it will make them look worse but I think he prob feels + has said to her that she was always the 1 for him but she was taken + everyone else was just a distraction. + I think she feels really seen by him + has felt him stick up for her + go to bat for her which I think she feels she hasn’t had in a decade. Not saying it’s right but this is my assessment

West was betting on Amanda getting the Ariana treatment and Kyle being the villain, so he thought he’d look like the sensitive guy who stepped up and showed her what real love is. I don’t think they were planning to reveal anything until after the reunion aired. I do believe they are shocked by the public reaction, didn’t think Ciara (and certainly not Kyle) would get so much support because Amanda truly saw herself as the victim.

He wants to be Amanda's hero. That's what they mean by likeable. He over estimated Amanda's appeal over Ciara's. The goal is to be the New Kyle aka #1 Guy in the Good aka HBIC of Summer House. He just didn't think he'd get this much smoke. Despite being a horrible husband, viewers really like Kyle. Horrible men get a pass on Bravo all the time. South just doesn't have that factor to get the pass. Amanda and him are Robins. They backstabbed Batman and Catwoman.
