People are massively exaggerating the July 1st EU changes. The new rules mainly target low-value parcels under €150, which will face an additional fixed customs charge. Large hauls worth $200+, $300+ or more have already been going through customs procedures anyway, so this is not some sudden “end of hauls” scenario. A 10kg haul isn’t suddenly going to double in price overnight. The biggest impact will be on ultra-cheap single-item orders from platforms like Temu, Shein or AliExpress. For people shipping larger consolidated parcels, the overall cost increase is likely to be noticeable but nowhere near as dramatic as some influencers are claiming. The idea that all China hauls will become insanely expensive after July 1st is simply not supported by the actual legislation. In short: expect some additional fees and stricter customs processing, but not the apocalypse people are trying to sell for clicks.
