there's something very disgenious about our cultures as Asians when we do these horrific things to the black community and then scream" we can't be mad at each other right now bc that only benefits white supremacy." while not wrong as a whole bc our division does benefit white men ; we cannot let that excuse how the model minority myth leads our anti- black culture while enjoying our proximity and privilege with white people. We must OWN how this myth has caused violence and hate for the black community when it happens and not scapegoat white supremacy. We have to own what happened to Cyrus. Because it was due to OUR racism - whether we got it from whites or not.
