🩷Update 8/24: rescued by Humane Tomorrow🩷 🚨VIPER SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA MONDAY 8/24 @ 11AM FOR MEDICAL🚨 Surrendered for allergies with no mention of a serious injury….. 💔 9 month old Viper is facing a serious orthopedic injury that requires surgery. This sweet young girl was surrendered because of allergies, and now she is at risk of losing her life because her medical needs are more than DAS can provide.. Viper has a fractured right femoral head with muscle atrophy in her back leg. She will need an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) or possible amputation, followed by vet care and rehabilitation to help her regain comfortable mobility. Viper is so much more than her injury. Her former family described her as sweet, active, obedient, crate trained, and good with all types of dogs. She knows sit, come, and walks well on leash. Shelter staff have also seen her affectionate, playful side. She wags her tail on leash, loves belly rubs, and is outgoing and very playful. In playgroup, she initially kept to herself, but remained tolerant when other dogs approached her. Viper is a BABY. She should be playing and growing up with a family of her own. She needs someone willing to give her the medical care, rehabilitation, patience, and love required to get her through this.
