Comments are not it. Depending on age of kids…this is super hard for some. Our shopping has absolutely changed. All I do is work and home bc I don’t want to spend on gas. 10 miles to a decent store.. it’ll add up. Everyone’s situation is different. Just bc it’s not your situation doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to someone else.

It’s literally not that bad. $140+/- for two weeks feeds my wife, 2 kids and myself. One income household. It’s gone up from $110 5-10 years ago but that’s what pricing does.

why is everyone trying to say that your struggle isn't real? like, just because someone isn't struggling as much as you that you must be doing something wrong? I don't get it. I'm glad that you are able to feed your family, even if it means utilizing food banks, that's what they are for. I hope things look up for you one day.

I completely understand. I’m by myself, one income and it is hard for me to get everything I need for the week, even taking stuff off my list almost every week. I can’t imagine how bad it would be for me if I had kids idk what I would do

I’ve been using the Klarna app at kroger bc it’s the only way I can get enough for my family of 3 (4 when we have my SD) planted my garden this year and the plants and dirt had gone up so much I don’t even know if it was worth it. My husband and I both work ft, haven’t taken a vacation in 3 years, I drink my black coffee at home, haven’t been to a nail salon in years, haven’t gotten my hair cut by a professional in years. Everything has just gotten ridiculous.

groceries are expensive for sure but they have been for a long while now. I am a SAHM to 4.. thankfully my husband works his ass off to afford us this lifestyle. Our pantry is packed, our refrigerators & freezers are also packed and they stay that way. it helps a lot that we raise our own beef, hog, chicken and lamb as well.

Dang, my wife and I only spent $600 at Costco this month, but you don't see us talking about it on the internet, do you. Mainly because we spent a week of the month on a cruise, and didn't need the normal amount of groceries.
