Even if trans women were "men" (which they aren't they're women) why are we excluding men from feminism. The more we push men out of feminism the more misogynistic men we as a society will breed. Why are we excluding anyone from feminism?

Just because they have anecdotal experience doesn’t mean they’re qualified to interpret that information 😭you know it rains and what that feels like but that doesn’t mean you understand meteorology (Meteorology is the scientific study of the Earth’s atmosphere and short-term atmospheric phenomena like the weather. It is not the study of meteors.) I feel like I have to specify this based on the comments I’ve seen on this app.

Because a lot of women see feminism as just their way to get back at men instead of a way to actually help women and create a gender egalitarian society. Hence the “micro feminism” trend.

Feminism truly does require a lot of research. Because in reality, it is a form of social studies and requires advocacy for rights that are intentionally abused or taken away. Which needs a good knowledge in current politics and history.

ok respectfully this is the exact kind of academic elitism that strips feminism of the reason is was created in general which is women’s lived experiences. it’s honestly depressing to hear another woman reduce something so personal and deeply lived into a some coursework requirement. telling women they “don’t respect feminism” because they haven’t studied it is actually absurd? of course feminism theory can deepen your understanding of the history but this scholarship exists because of the lived experience from women. You’re talking about something so personal and reducing it to intellectual credential. Theres also something so ironic about telling women they need academic approval before their understanding of womanhood is taken seriously…

It's because for many women feminism is only valid as long as it's benefiting and favoring them. When the benefit stops (like when equality isn't favoring them), "feminism who?". Many women don't take feminism seriously, and think they know absolutely everything about feminism solely because they are biologically female. That's why many women will often just make of rules and call it feminism, and if you call them out, you hate women.
