I think that comment was unnecessarily harsh, and I don't think your post was wrong for calling out that behavior. But I hope you can understand why some Protestants took issue with it. The video came across as portraying one unusual experience as representative of Protestant churches as a whole, which isn't really fair or accurate. Not every Protestant church is like that. If the focus had been on that specific pastor, church, or the particular patterns you experienced, the point probably would have landed better. People who have had similar experiences could still relate to it without feeling like an entire group was being lumped together. Different churches have different structures, practices, and beliefs. Some people find those approaches helpful, while others don't. At the end of the day, what matters most is our relationship with Christ. I understand the point you were trying to make, I just think there was a more precise way to communicate it.

I’d say a lot of your videos are assuming that your viewers have religious history in Christianity which is great because you have a target audience. People who don’t agree can just scroll, but you are genuinely trying to help fellow believers, and unbelievers who come across your videos may even be led by your content. You’ve definitely helped me in discovering Christ even more.

I remember a TikTok you made about people who stop going to church and reject God because of negative experiences with their parents. Isn’t that somewhat similar to what you’re doing with Protestantism? You had a bad experience, saw things you didn’t agree with, and then formed a general opinion based on that. I’m not a native English speaker, so I hope this makes sense.
