I was supposed to start maternity leave 9/23 but my new end date is supposed to be 9/1 after 9 years with Centene. Seems pretty illegal to me.

Is applying for a voluntary separation program a “better” option than just wait for the layoffs?

Told my employer I was pregnant and 9 weeks later I was let go as part of a restructure where my role was supposedly eliminated. It wasn’t. They gave my job to someone else. I immediately got a lawyer and am suing.

Orrrr they have a legitimate reason to cut headcount expense and they choose the highly comped and/or low performers.

Yes I feel targeted now after I was pushed to take as much time as I needed after I lost my mom. I had over 300 hours of pto. I took 6 weeks off and now they told me I could no longer be remote and either comply or don’t have a job.

I was laid off last year a few months after returning from maternity leave. Other person on my team who was laid off had been with company 45 years.

maybe the leadership of your company wasn't as skilled as Elon Musk? Or your performance didn't contribute to the success of the company because you didn't earn as much as upper management

Why would one not take the vsp if employment is way less? In Texas, your weekly unemployment benefit is calculated based on your past wages. Payouts range from a minimum of $75 to a maximum of $605 per week, with benefits typically lasting up to 26 weeks

THIS!!! this happened to me, my employer went through a "reduction in workforce" and laid me off, I was two weeks into my maternity leave, I was there 11 years, they did not follow their own internal policy and follow seniority to select who would be laid off (I had more seniority then most). I also had work apps on my phone so they factory reset my phone and I lost all my first two weeks photos and videos of my baby. Gut-wrenching in such an already vulnerable time, not to mention in the worst job market.
