@whos_yuuya: Naoya Zenin and Toji Fushiguro are basically the Zenin clan’s two extremes of “speed freak with daddy issues,” but their stories and ideologies clash hard. Naoya Zenin was the clan’s golden boy and heir after Naobito’s death, born with Projection Sorcery that let him split 1 second into 24 frames and move at absurd speeds as long as he tracked his opponent’s movement. He was arrogant, elitist, and deeply misogynistic, constantly putting down Maki because she was a woman with low cursed energy and no Six Eyes. His whole identity was tied to Zenin tradition and rank, so when Maki, Mai, and the Hei twins wiped out most of the clan and Maki awakened her Heavenly Restriction, Naoya’s worldview shattered. He died humiliated, then cursed himself back as a vengeful spirit with even faster “time-frozen” speed, only to get absolutely dismantled by Maki because she had finally broken free of the clan’s rules he worshipped. Toji Fushiguro, also called the “Sorcerer Killer,” was Maki’s uncle and Megumi’s estranged father, and he had the exact same Heavenly Restriction as her: zero cursed energy in return for a body that was superhuman in strength, speed, durability, and senses. With no CE to detect, he was invisible to most sorcerers and used that to ambush them with cursed tools like the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which could bypass techniques, and Playful Cloud, which let a non-sorcerer fight on par with Special Grade curses. He famously took out Gojo and Geto during the Star Plasma Vessel arc when they were still students, showing that CE isn’t everything, before selling Megumi to the Zenin clan and dying without ever caring about its prestige. The contrast is what makes them interesting: Toji rejected the Zenin clan entirely and lived free as a mercenary who mocked sorcerers for relying on CE, while Naoya clung to the clan’s hierarchy even after death and got destroyed by the very person he looked down on.
