I think it's funny that Sergeant bottles actually thought she was being nice and was like impressed and happy that she was impressed by his daughter, however, you could tell from her tone and body language that the whole time she was just being a smart-ass LOL.. Nothing about her demeanor, from the second the body cam footage began, ever reflected anu level of respect for authority or law enforcement. I do understand the intent was to try and show her respect in hopes it would be reciprocated, however once again, in order to be respected sometimes you do have to be a little more aggressive in your delivery, to ensure the full weight of the situation is grasped by the individual. The only officer that I believe handled the situation accordingly and who started with respect, was able to pivot, as well as adjust to the situation as it continued to escalate, was the initial officer who made contact at the door. He, very calmly and respectfully, showed her the repercussions for how an adult is treated in a situation that they have not only put themselves in but single-handedly elevated to a level it never needed to get to. So for me I would say applause for the initial officer on scene. Everybody else, however, I feel like babied her and treated her as a juvenile would be, which may be one of the reasons that this is an ongoing issue. It seems to me as though no one has ever made her take responsibility for her actions as an adult, and especially in situations with law enforcement as an adult. I do believe the female officer as well as the Sergeant did not handle the situation accordingly. JMO
