Let me put this into perspective...this case started 3 years ago. No one had heard of it until recently. So, the jurors knew nothing about his past bad acts, didn't have access to social media, and didn't know the full extent of how awful the Chow family was. They were stuck with one choice, struggled with that single murder charge and no lesser options because the malicious intent was questionable when they realized Rick Chow tried to do CPR and called 911. They went to the judge twice for clarification and got no answers, finally giving a verdict everyone hated, not knowing the consequences. They had no idea how big this case had become.
