Thats not how Portugal was formed, during the Reconquista two nobles (D. Afonso Henriques and the other idk the name) were called by castilla to help, they're feats were reconized by castillas king by giving D. Afonso the county of Portugal and the other one the county of Catalluna, however it was D. Afonso's mom to reign over this county and she was overly influenced by Castilla, so D. Afonso declared war on his mother (know has Battle of São Mamede) after defeating his mom, declaring himself king of Portugal. Also the photo you used to say when "declaring himself king of Portugal" has nothing to do with D. Afonso, in that photo is the Douque of Braga declaring independence over Spain after the União Ibérica. Please do ur research before doing this types of videos. Thank you
