Save this recipe and tag me if you try it ❤️ Sardine Bread Rolls Dough * 2 cups bread flour * 1 tsp instant yeast (3.5g) * 3 tbsp sugar (36g) * ½ tsp salt (3g) * ½ cup warm milk, add a little more if needed * 2 tbsp sardine oil or butter * 1 egg Filling * 2 cans sardines (about 240g total) * Pepper or habanero (optional) Method 1. Drain 2 tbsp sardine oil for the dough. 2. Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. 3. Add the milk, egg, and sardine oil (or butter) and mix into a soft dough. 4. Knead until smooth and elastic. 5. Do the windowpane test. 6. Cover and let rise for 60 minutes, or until doubled in size. 7. Mash the sardines with the pepper. 8. Roll the dough into a large rectangle. 9. Spread the sardine filling evenly over the dough. 10. Roll it up tightly, seal the edge, and cut into rolls. 11. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan. 12. Let rise again for 40–45 minutes. 13. Brush with egg wash (optional). 14. Bake at 170°C for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown. #sardinerolls #sardinebread #breadrolls #homemadebread #homebaking
