@drchristinahibbert: 👋🏻My tremors finally decided to show up for an appointment. Too bad it was the wrong specialist. 😅 🌟Today I was at the neuro-ophthalmologist—not because of my tremors, but because we’re investigating the constant pressure in my head and whether it’s affecting my optic nerves and vision. Meanwhile, my hands were over here like: “Since we’re discussing neurological symptoms, we’d like to show off.” 🫨 👉🏻The interesting part is that I didn’t feel anxious, stressed, or like I was having a POTS flare. I felt completely normal…except for the shaking. 🌟That’s one of the strangest things about chronic illness. Sometimes your body is doing things that don’t match how you feel. 👉🏻This was my last specialist appointment before I head back to my neurologist next month to review everything we’ve learned so far. We’re looking at vascular compression, pressure issues, POTS, tremors, and how all of these puzzle pieces might fit together. Hopefully we’re getting closer to answers. 🤞 I’ll keep you posted. ❓Who has this? What’s it been like or about for you? #ChronicIllnesslife #POTS #neuroophthalmology #IIH #vascularcompression

My husband started with the shakes like this. He did go to the doctor and was diagnosed with "Essential Tremors." He's on medication that he takes 3 times a day.

I have tremors and hand weakness. Began one day realizing I was having issues opening packages with the pulling motions. Tremors started, could hardly steady to insert an IV. Tremors come and go but when they are present. they are there. what did you find out??

I got the pentad super syndrome with IIH diagnosed back in 2017. Had the same symptoms with 2-3 spinal taps every two weeks until I finally convinced the doctors to implant a vp shunt. The IIH symptoms lessened by *a lot* since then. Not saying you should get a shunt but maybe (if you dont have one yet) it might be worth a thought. Wishing you well!!!

🙋🏻♀️meeeeeee! End result—I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and where one autoimmune issue lies, typically there’s more to come so that led into “suspected” neuro lupus and as a result IIH ended up being one of my issues that they believe is all related. They’re using the term suspected because the rheumatologist doesn’t think my labs are quite bad enough for a formal diagnosis even though my primary/neuro/neuro ophthalmologist all think yes it’s neuro lupus 🙃

Probably sounds like a dumb question - but have you been checked for Celiac Disease? Turned out to be what was wrong with me, and the root cause of my IIH, neuropathy in my fingers, and my migraines 🫣 can also cause tremors depending on which subsequent deficiencies you end up with

I worked at a movement neurology clinic, honestly a large portion of our patients similarly like your tremors had essential tremors. Honestly when they occur, record a lot, see if it’s being caused also by other things, caffeine, stress, lack of sleep. Or you can also check to see if you have family history of parkinsons disease

Just diagnosed with IIH+p last year and trying to treat it before surgical options. Can your neurologist tell you exactly which symptoms are attributed to which disorder? I am worried that everything I am experiencing is not solely IIH related.

Hi hi so I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia! I had no b12. But I want to talk to you about the tremors because I have it really bad. But not having vitamin b12 vitamin A vitamin b vitamin E and vitamin b6 truly affected my eyes brain and everything I didn’t know how important all of it was until I developed the autoimmune disorder

I have an essential tremor and it definitely gets worse when I’m nervous. But tremor is pretty consistent for me. I’m seeing a movement disorder specialist for it.

It’s like I just read my own symptoms. The constant pressure at the inside corner of my eye, my POTS, my hand twitching, fingers draw together randomly, etc.

Learned from my neuro at UCHealth that nutcracker compression can cause iih from backflow. Still right behind you on finding and fixing what can be to relieve the vascular issues causing pots 💯👌

I get tremors but they affect my whole body except my left side is always worse. They usually last from 10 minutes to hours. I am assuming they are a part of hyper pots but see a neurologist for them in October. It helps me to take lorazepam for them to help calm my body down, it doesn't always help but sometimes.
