Recovery days are important. Done multiple ultras and marathons and I used to think recovery days were a joke. As far as strength training, try and incorporate them into a training plan. I only do one lone run per week leading up to race week. Don’t forget to stretch and roll out those muscles.

honey stinger energy waffles! I used to eat them when I play basketball in high school, I would pass out if I didn’t eat correctly and these were perfect. Light but full of protein.
