@caught.la: A fiery crash sent flames and water shooting into the night sky after a white sedan (possibly a Honda Civic? Let me know what type of car you think it is) slammed into a traffic signal pole and fire hydrant infront of the 7/11 off Olympic Blvd and S Burlington Ave in the Pico-Union area of South Los Angeles. Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle fully involved in fire as water flooded portions of the roadway from the damaged hydrant. LAFD and LAPD responded to the scene, where crews worked to extinguish the flames and secure the area. According to information from the scene, the incident was being investigated as a reported hit-and-run. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.
