something I asked my friend after we got out the theater was, do you think Phil recognized Clark from when he first went into the backrooms or the pirate in the ad? because the cctv footage doesn't really show his face just the fact a person was in the backrooms and we know something else passed by that camera to follow Clark..

I think the reason why he looked at Clark in his pirate attire is probably him realizing that its the same entity they're dealing with in the backrooms but different and malformed and also realized that the liminal spaces basically remembers and creates things in its own image, the areas, the stores, the people and everything

Imagine being Phil in that scene where he sees Clark on the tv. Hes likely only familiar with pirate Clark (the entity) within the confines of the backrooms, so imagine seeing the creature from this unknown dimension on your tv screen

I have a theory that Clark's entity was identifiable because of the repeated ads on the tv which makes the Backroom scan humans memories and the ad kept appearing and reinforcing the already entity inside the backroom. But that's just my theory

i liked this movie the only thing i didn’t like is how the therapist coincidentally was so fortunate to have that rock in her pocket to kill entity clark. i knew she kept it around because it was significant of her childhood or whatever but it seemed kind of cliche lol
